My Ithaca Double Dial Calendar Clock
C.1874, Ithaca Calendar Clock Co., "HOME", model, 8-day time & strike, double dial perpetual calendar, mfd especially for R.J. & J.H. Cook. This special order model is likely rare; surviving Cook company appears to be J.H.Cook Machinist Tools of Syracuse, but not proven.
Note: atm this is not a picture of my actual clock although mine is identical except the clock shown is missing the "crown" at the top of the woodwork. Mine has the missing piece which can be seen on the "Case and Dials" page. I know for sure this clock has been in my family since 1925 and I suspect much earlier. If I have time later I will relate the story my father told me about how it was aquired.
I am in process of learning more and beginning the project to preserve and restore the clock to perfect working condition. The movement needs an overhaul and the dials need to be cleaned and preserved from futher damage. The case has been cleaned and the original finish is intact with no damage. I am debating on dial touchup and the restoration of the decorative "HOME" lettering on the door as it is damaged as shown in the galley pictures.
